Mindy Dives in Solomon Islands - July 2007

Robin's wife Mindy usually spends several weeks each year traveling around the world on diving trips. This is her most recent:

"I have returned from the Solomon Islands (include Guadalcanal of WWII fame) and thought I would share a few of my photos.

The diving was great and the water temperature was 84 degrees! The people are very friendly. The infrastructure is primitive.

I am now at Lake Tahoe and will be in Las Vegas next week."

Trip to Cherokee

Ed and I just visited the mountains to escape the heat and played a few "loosing" hands at Cherokee's casino!!! The photo of Ed is at the Biltmore Visitor's Center and the picture of me is at Maggie Valley.

Scout Week in the Mountains!

The scouts from Bethel recently spent a week in the mountains learning survival skills. Scott and Christopher had a great time, hiking, camping under the stars, finding and preparing food in the wild. One of the pics shows Christopher with a crawfish they found and eventually ate!!!

My Best Friend's Son and His Fiance (Michael & Mary)

"I wanted to update everyone on our progress-
The wedding planning is going great- when I say great, you know there are some glitches, as always, but running pretty smooth. (I have a friend that says mine is running very smooth compared to what she had to deal with....) Does anybody have any wood I can knock on? (ha,ha) My formal bridal pics are Wednesday, July 18 and I am sooo ready. (I have everything laid out and ready to go- of course where Michael can not see it.) We had our first bridal party/tool shower last month and had a great turn out. We have a Pre-Wedding Cookout Saturday, July 28th- we are so looking forward to it. WE LOVE BEING IN THE SPOTLIGHT!!! From there- it is on to the Rehearsal and rehearsal dinner and then the WEDDING- in less than two months. Can you believe it? Everyone says I should be nervous, who's nervous, I am ready, I wish it was tomorrow!
The house is going great- have not had time to get it decorated just the way I want to- but after September, I am sure I will enjoy doing that. We have already talked about putting hardwoods in the living room and hallway and tiling our bathroom floors. (Not that what we have is bad, but when you get a new home, you have to do some projects, right?) Bosko and Kiara are loving the new house, as well. Bosko has plenty of backyard to exercise in and a 'dad" that spoils the crap out of him (Is he going to be this way with the kids?) Kiara lays around and takes it easy. She rubs against our feet and tires to make us go to bed- she loves to sleep in the middle.
Other than that, it's business as usual. Work, clean house, wash clothes, lay on couch, and treat ourselves- every now and again!!!"
