Karen, Scott, Christopher and Kelli have been on vacation this week in Gatlinburg. They've hiked, gone on hay rides, shopped, been sight-seeing and had a great time. They are coming back tonight. These are some pictures she emailed to me this week.
"We've been very, very busy for the past couple of days, getting in after 10:00 both nights. We've all had a lot of fun. We went to the top of a "space needle" yesterday during the day, and the view was absolutely beautiful. Decided to go tonight as well to get a nighttime view, and the lights of the town were beautiful, too, but I think the daytime view won out.
The leaves are just unbelievable. Enjoyed a hike up to "Clingman's Dome" today, which is the second highest elevation east of the Mississippi - second only to Mt. Mitchell. On the drive up there, we saw icicles on the rocks! Yes, we got pictures. :)
Played mini golf tonight and rode go-carts, so the kids are tired and happy. Believe it or not, we had the whole place all to ourselves. "
